I'd like to connect with another gay male close to my age (57) that would like to share a cabin for upcoming cruises on Princess.
I love cruising, but prefer not to cruise alone. None of my friends are able to accompany me due to demanding work schedules, lack of funds, or their dislike (and/or fear) for cruise vacations. I'm hoping a guy who loves beaches, sunbathing, people watching, food, cocktails and everything else that makes a vacation spectacular will find this post and want to come along for the ride.
We can explore our compatibility as travel mates before committing. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet several guys to cruise with through various travel websites in the past. I now have a better understanding of what type of questions really matter when searching for a good match.
Here are my Top Five humorous questions that I will ask of each guy that wants me as a travel mate:
•Do YOU really consider 5 liters of rum something an “average drinker" would consume on a 7-day cruise? (I Don't; but one of my past travel mates did, then he blamed me for “Letting” him get drunk)
•Does “sleeping in" mean you will be up at 6am instead of 5am? (I Don't)
•What is your definition of “staying up late?” (Hint: 10PM is the wrong answer. We will be on V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N)
•Are you a Gentleman who is courteous of others and does his best to refrain from breaking wind or do you like to let ‘em RIP on a whimsy with disregard for others in your immediate vicinity? (Seriously, this happened)
•Will you be embarrassing me at the dinner table by ordering 5 entrees and 9 desserts and complaining about every food item on your plate?
Although I am far from perfect, it does make for a more enjoyable cruise experience when the two people sharing COZY sleeping quarters are courteous to each other (including the ship's staff and passengers). Traveling with a newly minted friend is reminiscent of childhood sleepovers. Staying up late and talking while in bed, under the covers. Sharing conversation over a meal. Laughing at funny stories. It’s kind of like moving into college dorms. Being thrust into a small room with a strange guy that later becomes a close friend that knows all your secrets and has seen you buck naked.
I have references, if needed. I'm easy on the eyes too, if that matters. I'm a nice guy with manners, good hygiene and a wicked sense of humor. Take a chance on a nice guy. Vamos a volvernos locos!
