I'm a swf of 58...retired...loves cruising....dying to go on a 15 or 16 day cruise from San Francisco or L.A. to Hawaii. Unfortunately, my friends either work and can't take that much time off or can't afford it. Because I'm retired I'm trying to keep expenses down, so I'd be looking for a low fare...meaning not high season and an inside room. I usually dont spend much time in the room anyway. I wouldn't expect the person who shared the cabin to keep me company on the trip.

Would love to, but afraid that would be too expensive for my income.

Hi, Librariladi. I've done that cruise twice, once on HAL and once on Princess. I would be open to doing it again anytime after March. Do you have a date in mind? Female, 79, no health issues.

Hi, I was just looking into a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival, October 16, 2020, November 28, 2020 or January 9th, 2021 dying to go also.... When were you planning on going? What Cruise Line? I will be a young 55 in August, enjoy margaritas, not a lush. I am claustrophobic, usually book balcony rooms so I would at least need an ocean view room. Have had many different roommates along the way & thankfully, they worked out great. I don't expect to be tied at the hip at all. My Roommate can go about their daily/nightly fun since it is your cruise as well... If we make plans, then that's great. I always, respectfully: try to be courteous, quiet while my Roommate is in bed, share the space, non messy person & expect the same. I don't get up at the crack of dawn but if there are plans made, I get up in enough time to get myself ready. Sincerely, Tracey K Email: Toosweet_11222@yahoo.com Here's my list of cruises so far: 09/05/09 Carnival Liberty Exotic Eastern Caribbean 09/11/10 Carnival Liberty Western Caribbean 11/05/11 Carnival Liberty Exotic Western Caribbean 11/30/12 Carnival Miracle Florida & Bahamas 12/07/13 Carnival Liberty Exotic Eastern Caribbean 09/28/14 Carnival Conquest Exotic Eastern Caribbean 12/19/15 Carnival Glory Exotic Western Caribbean 12/26/15 Carnival Glory Exotic Eastern Caribbean 06/04/16 Carnival Splendor Exotic Southern Caribbean 09/04/16 Norwegian Breakaway - Bermuda 12/24/17 Carnival Pride - Bahamas 12/31/17 Carnival Pride - Florida & Bahamas 12/28/19 Carnival Horizon - Southern Caribbean

Hello have you found someone yet? I just retired in Feb and would love to go on a cruise, same as you everyone I know is still working. I would like to pretty much go anywhere leaving from SF. I live in Walnut Creek so that is perfect for me. Only thing is I would like a balcony room.

I also have been trying to book a cruise out of LA to Hawaii. Bud like you I can't find any friends that have the time of the money. I was looking at the one that was first part of November. Was around $1,300 per person. Not sure how you would feel about sharing a cabin with a guy? I am respectful and would be a gentleman the whole time. I use a cabin basically to sleep in and take a shower. Most of the other time I'd be on deck or doing other activities. Let me know if it's something you would be comfortable with. If not I fully understand.

Well, there is always the option of doing Hawaii-Hawaii on the Pride of America (NCL). It's the only ship allowed to do such an itinerary without stopping at a foreign port. This will save you 7~8 days, most of which will be at sea days anyway. The SF or Longbeach to Hawaii cruises typically take a day or two to go down to Ensenada, MX, then spend 4~4.5 days in the middle of the pacific. The last 7 days is similar and usually visits most of the Hawaiian islands.
I did that in 2014. Despite the American crew, service is actually pretty good and the food was pretty good (for NCL). The ship is not much to look at on the outside, but the interior was decent enough. And here's the trick... when I went, I got a suite on the top deck. Why? Because they had a deal where if you book a suite, the 3rd and 4th passengers sail FREE. Plus any any kid sails free. The Suite Sleeps five, but you pay for two adults. Ends up being CHEAPER than paying for five people in inside cabins.

Hi everyone
32 Irish guy. Dipping his tow into cruising. I'd be interested in booking a Hawaii and Alaska back to Back for Summer or Fall 2022 or 2023.
I am not against including the French Polynesia Islands, as one commenter above suggested. Feel free to reach out to me vua email johnmckillop90@gmail.com to discuss.
