Just completed a cruise on the Carnival Sunshine out of Charleston with the family. Had a great time. Fortunately, I have some more vacation time and would like to cruise again. Unfortunately, the family does not have as accommodating of a schedule so I don't have a cruise buddy.
Since I have often traveled for work with whoever work assigned, I am entertaining finding a travel buddy since accommodations are based on double occupancy. The main catch is the double occupancy. However, most of my friends are of the families age and won't get to travel. So a new travel buddy might be in order. Not a big deal for me as I have slept in hostels and barracks where I did not know everyone.
So, not sure if this is the best venue to find people interested in splitting an interior cabin on a cruise ship but at about $110 a day for all you can eat while in the Bahamas, its worth a try.
Me: About 50 with no health or mobility issues. On cruises, I always attend to my toiletries at the gym or room adjacent restrooms so I place a small footprint on the room. I expect to be in the room from 2200-0600. Married, so no extra guests. My goals are to eat well, workout in the gym, eat some more, and relax on the Lido or someplace quite.
Can car pool from the New Bern / Jacksonville / Wilmington area to save on gas and parking. Leave the Thursday morning of. Return directly after.
I have no expectations here. Pass the do I feel safe, trust you to keep the departure date, and your mobility is up to getting to and from the dock to the room to the food and back. Then its time to cruise. That said, I am not looking for a date. This is a travel arrangement not a personals post. It is extremely unlikely I would travel with a female travel buddy. Maybe if there were more than 2 people in the room and it was treated like a mixed hostel. So highest likelihood is a guy with more free-time than money who prefers their alone time.
Picking from the three cruises below in descending interest. (Includes Taxes, fees & port expenses, add another ~$60 for gratuities)
4 Days Bahamas from Charleston, SC, Carnival Sunshine, Oct 19, 2023 - Oct 23, 2023 $399
4 Days Bahamas from Charleston, SC, Carnival Sunshine, Nov 30, 2023 - Dec 4, 2023 $383
4 Days Bahamas from Charleston, SC, Carnival Sunshine, Nov 2, 2023 - Nov 6, 2023 $393
